Future Music Review
"The Sample Magic camp get all nostalgic for that much maligned, but often imitated, era of New Wave music. The term does its best to describe that period in the '80s when post-punk guitarists met nerdy synth obsessives. Prime exponents including Talking Heads and Blondie, and then the likes of Duran Duran and Gary Numan. All these legendary names, and the music they made, echo through the 1,247 lovingly prepared 24-bit loops and samples in this retro pack. Authentic drum machine workouts provide the backbone, while shimmering synth loops join basslines so dirty that Marc Almond himself would start rumours about them. The Inspiration Loops folder should be your first port of call, however, if you're an Indie-Dance or Nu-Disco producer. The 200+ bits and bobs are sure to start a song off for you, or add some sheen to a work in progress. Classy stuff, all said."
