Computer Music Review

The follow-up to Lo-Fi Hip-Hop (9/10, cm264) brings forth another 935MB of Dilla-style beats (22 stemmed -115 files) and basslines (a mere 14, alas) at 80 and 85bpm, alongside a similarly modest showing of perc and vocal loops, and plenty of sampler-ready one-shots. Again, it's the dusty melodic loops and full-realised 'music' construction kits that are the main attractions, giving a wealth of inspirational instrumental parts, pre-distressed with a wholly convincing retro production style and exuding the same jazzy vibes that we dug last time round. 9/10
