Every year at about this time, the SM team gear up to present the UK’s premier dance music conference, the London Electronic Music Event (LEME).
Combining keynote speeches from A-grade artists and industry leaders with production insight and business know-how, LEME has become an essential fixture in the diary of producers and DJs from around the world.
This year delegates can choose from 38 sessions featuring 45 speakers across six venues centred around Shoreditch’s Rich Mix, with guests including Theo Parrish, Karenn, Kirk Degiorgio, Legowelt, Matt Black (Ninjatune) Luke Solomon, Neville Watson, Kris Wadsworth, Dominic Butler (Stanton Warriors), Terry Farley. Equipment on show includes Ableton’s Push, Roland’s all-new AIRA series and Korg’s Volca and recently unveiled ‘Kross’ keyboard.
Sample Magic’s team is heavily represented with regular sound designer Hedflux unveiling the secrets behind effective arrangements, Summer School host Bruce Aisher talking compression and how to inject vintage flavours into the mix, Secrets of House Music Production author Marc Adamo deconstructing classic house beats and Sharooz headlining the techno masterclass before jamming with his classic Roland boxes onstage in his ‘Rise of the Machines’ performance. We’ll also be offering 20% off Sample Magic products for all LEME visitors – just come and say hello at our stand in the marketplace.
All Sunday Day Passes have now sold out, but there are a few remaining Day and Weekend Passes still available.
For a weekend of insight, inspiration, networking, knowledge – and a healthy dose of partying – we don’t think it gets much better than LEME.
