original_130-1358281387The first release of 2013 on SM White Label comes in the form of Underground Dubstep, a deep and dark traverse into the south London birthplace of the genre; heavy with sharp 2-step rhythms, brooding basslines, murky melodics and mournful vocals.

As dubstep’s fragmentation continues apace, Underground Dubstep returns to the genre’s purest origins, taking inspiration from the likes of Burial, Zomby and the Hyperdub stable for an unadultered slab of dubstep goodness – and not a Massive brostep bassline in earshot.

Packing in over 400MB of loops and hits, the collection serves up stacks of intricate drum workouts, ominous atmospherics, deep basslines, moody melodics and haunting vocals primed for dubstep, 2-step and electronica productions.
