Sharooz Raoofi

Co-Founder

Sharooz is a DJ / producer with a string of releases and remixes under his belt. He has remixed acts such as Moby, Robyn, Mylo and Kings of Leon, and released on labels from Dim Mak to Sunday Best. His DJ schedule has taken him all over the world. As a sound designer he has worked with Steinberg, Propellerheads and FXpansion. He is a published songwriter signed to Universal Music and EMI, with tracks appearing in EA Games and MTV. Sharooz is also co-founder of the Beatport-owned Sounds To Sample and record label La Bombe.

David Felton

Co-Founder

Dave, as Jake Island, is signed to Toolroom Records where he has remixed Mark Knight and been remixed by the likes of Grum, Manuel de la Mare and Crazy P. He writes production music for Boosey & Hawkes and EMI. His parallel career has been in publishing, with positions at the BBC, TUC and The Guardian. He is editor of the best-selling Secrets of House Music Production and The Producer's Manual books. Dave is also co-founder of the Beatport-owned Sounds To Sample and the record label La Bombe.

Barry McManus

General Manager

Barry is a musician, DJ, journalist and radio broadcaster. He has DJed in Europe and the USA for the Snap Crackle and Pop brand whilst continuing to run their London residencies. Barry plays bass in up-and-coming three-piece Bullet Proof Vest, currently recording their debut album. Barry is general manager at Sample Magic and co-organiser of The London Electronic Music Event.

Monica Holcombe

Marketing & PR Manager

With over 10 years experience in the music industry, Monica has hosted radio shows, promoted events, festivals, run the events department at Ministry of Sound and currently promotes club nights and DJs under her pseudonym Moniker. Along with PR and Marketing, Monica is part of the team behind the London Electronic Music Event.

Lukas Lyrestam

Technical Support

Lukas is a DJ, producer and musician based based in east London. Having graced the decks at clubs such as Ministry of Sound, EGG, and XOYO, as well as having productions playlisted by the likes of Roundhouse Radio, Stoneyroads and Walmar Convenience, he is a connoisseur of everything forward thinking and disco. A Swedish citizen by birth, Lukas likes to cook healthy meals, ride bikes and stay out late in the evenings. Lukas is responsible for audio formatting and technical support at Sample Magic.
