To coincide with its physical release, it has been garnered with kind words from both Music Tech mag and the boys over at Rekkerd.org.
Music Tech notes the "heartbreakingly beautiful collection of somber piano riffs" in the "very smooth and warm-sounding library that avoids the digital coldness often found with purely digital processing paths".
"The quality is consistently high," the review continues, concluding that SM17 is "An intricate and beautiful... collection of manipulated chillout loops."
Rekkerd.Org also think the collection is "stunningly beautiful"; "the sounds themselves are great," they write, "inspiring, creative, and well produced. And there is plenty of material that is just screaming to be dropped into your sampler, ready to cross over to other music genres."
